BYU Football Game

On Saturday we went to the BYU Football game against Air Force. It was a sold out game, and fun to be there to watch the game live. People in Utah are serious about their BYU Football, I guess I better work on becoming a better fan!

During the 4th Quarter is started pouring down rain! We were forced to put on these hideous neon yellow ponchos, they were quite funny. We were definitely glad to have them to keep us nice and dry though!

The Utah State Fair

Last week we made our way down to Salt Lake for the Utah State Fair. It was a lot of fun, and I was grateful to get a little fair time in! ( I know it sounds lame, but I was a little depressed after everyone in my family was home this year except me for the Fair in WA.) We were able to watch a Rodeo, eat hand-dipped corn dogs, drink homemade rootbeer, see a 1,000 lb.+ pig, and watch a hypnotist show! Needless to say we made well of our 3 hours at the Fair this year!

Zachary, he is so cute, he really wanted this picture taken of him. He wanted to show all of the "Fair" in the background.

Of course I get a shot of me and the pigs! I couldn't believe it, they only had about 20 pigs there to show!

When we saw a sign for a 1,000 lb. pig we just couldn't resist paying a dollar to see it. I would say it was two dollars well spent. Isn't that pig disgusting!

Love the Cotton Candy!

If any of you don't know these books, which I am sure you all do, you need to read them! If you are not a reader and don't know about them I will give you a lilttle background information. Stephenie Meyer, the Author, one night woke up from a dream she had about a painfully beautiful vampire and an ordinary girl who were truly in love but didn't see how it could work, because he was a vampire and she wasn't. She woke up and began writing her story never dreaming that it would be published, much less become a hugely successful series winning over the hearts of women across the country. Sounds kind of creepy I know, but these books are great! Full of Romance, Suspense, and Action, I could barely put them down, poor Zachary had to cook himself dinner quite a few times! I am just finishing up "Eclipse," and I can't believe I have to wait a whole year for the next book! Even if you don't like to read, you should try your hand at these books and I know you won't be sorry. I love these books, and I just want everyone to experience them! If you've read them, let me know, I love obsessing over them with fellow "Twilight Series" readers!

Labor Day at Issac's Landing

For the Labor Day Holiday we got to travel up to Fairview and participate in the official "ground breaking" of Zachary's parents future Cabin. We had a lot of fun digging holes, riding horses, eating breakfast and just enjoying being in the Mountains. Zachary's family kept saying, "There's nothing like eating pancakes in the mountains," Sort of corny.......but also kind of true. We were grateful that Zachary's parents invited us along ( even if we did have to get up at 6:30 on our day off!)
Riding Lily up in the mountains.

Zachary, Doug (Zac's Dad), and me digging away. When we pulled up to the property the first thing Zachary said was, "That looks like some hard ground!" and was he ever right, that ground was a lot of rock and not so much dirt! J'net and I teamed up on a hole, and I think we dug ours deeper than any of the boys! Sometimes us girls just got to show them how it's done.

Our little Nephew Cam in the hole that Zachary dug.

Eating Breakfast with everyone.

Park City

Zachary and I drove up to Park City to watch a Women's Ski Jumping competition last weekend. It was so fun and interesting to go up to the Olympic Park and check out everything they had going on up there. You can actually go on a real-life bobsled ride, how cool is that?! Maybe someday we will go back and try that one out! Park City has some great Outlet Malls we got to shop while we were up there, and a huge variety of restaurants on Historic Main Street that could satisfy any appetite! Zachary and I went for some BBQ place that I can't remember the name of, but their Prime Rib was amazing. Olympic Parks, great shopping, and good food, what more could a girl ask for?

Zachary is standing in front of some ski jumps that the skiers jump off of into the pool below them, they were able to do some pretty amazing things in the air off of the jumps.

Here is another ski jump they were jumping off of. There was like a turf, I don't know what you would call it, on the ground that they wetted down, and the skiers would ski down it, it was amazing to me how fast they would get going!

Watching the skiers we just sat on the grass/turf stuff and listened to a band they had playing.

I thought this Bear Bench was cute. Historic Main Street was so fun to walk down and see all the little shops and restaurants they had to offer.

Spanish Oaks Golfing

This past weekend Zachary took me to the Spanish Oaks Golf Course, for my first try at playing Gold. Kind of weird, but that was the first time I had ever been on a Golf course, and it was definitely apparent. I was not the best golfer, but I enjoyed my time cruising around on the golf cart. I think I need to spend a little more time on the Driving Range before I try the Golf Course again!

Zachary was getting mad at me taking so many pictures, so he refused to look!

Annual Oregon Coast Vacation

Every year my family takes a trip to the Oregon Coast with a few other family friends! We have so much fun each year, it is a highly anticipated event in my Family. It was so great to have Zachary there with us this year. I was so lucky because it was almost like I had a 2 week honeymoon, and I got to bring my family for half of it. I don't know how lucky Zachary thought that was but he loved it anyways. We're already looking forward to next year!

My little sister Carmen and her friend Lisa made this cute little sign to sit outside of our tent. I don't know if you can read it, but it says "HoneyMoon Suite." A tent is not my idea of a suite, but it did the job.

Zachary and Kristin with Porter, Keldon, and Morgan. One of my favorite things about our trip is always getting to spend tons of time playing with everyone else's cute kids!

Honeymoon

Zachary and I spent our Honeymoon in Whistler Canada. It was so beautiful, it was the perfect place for our honeymoon. On our way down to Canada we stopped in Seattle to eat dinner down on the Pier. We ate dinner at The Crab Pot, which could have been Zachary's favorite part of the whole honeymoon, he LOVED the crab! While we were in Whistler we were able to just relax and take it easy. It was so great to finally have some down time! The weather was beautiful and we had a lot of opportunities to be outdoors, and just enjoy all the beautiful nature around us. Hopefully we will make it back there to vacation again!
